It really looks like a Corolla S that was at the track, not on it, during a Audi Driver's school at Mid-Ohio this past June. The infamous Fred Baker was driving it. It was his son-in-law's. He was within a second of me.

IMO it looks like a Cadillac Catera (same body as one of the OPELs) from the side, like a SAAB from the front (or even a chevy lumina...etc.), you only know it is an AUDI from the rims, and by God i think it is time to get over them . Interior looks nice, I specially liked the seats.

I like it , but I dont think powerwise it can catch up with the C55 or maybe the C32 also, but definitely not C55! I think I have seen the S8 on th net... that will be a beast and they might add the Gallardo engine in it !

My B6 actually went up with the intro of this new B7 styling. Why? Just like BMW owners, many are really unhappy with the new style, and prefer the one before.
It is funny how everyone always, always, always cracks on the value of the Audi, when if you go to any dealer across america, the B5 is still at 30K+, while my 02 CLK55 is worth less now than what is left on the lease.

You may be in the minority here. MB's designers understand the essence of evolution. The C55's styling was a major factor in my new car choice. If you want to Revolution as opposed to Evolution and some rather bizarre borrowing of design cues, check out BMW's 5 and 7 Series and to a certain extent, the 6 Series.

BMW has made some horrendous changes to their vehicles, but even the dealer by me is very dissapointed with the new styling and platform sharing of MB.
And revolution, what now your a Chevy commercial? What revolutionary changes has MB made recently? The 4399 CC engine in the C? Ok, revolutionary I guess. Just like every other German Manufacturer and their HP war..
Just my 2 cents. I'm not knocking mb, really.

The point here is that MB did Not get radical.
The epitome of the triumph of Evolution over Revolution is the Porsche Carrera.
It's been a coveted design for 40 years.

Point being? The carrera is in a completely different category. We are talking platform sharing and look-a-like vehicles. Didn't get radical, they put a 5499cc engine into a platform that was designed originaly for a 1.9 liter setup trying to keep up / beat audi and bmw. I would say that is radical.

simply, anyone paying 30k or more for a B5s4 is an idiot. I lost $12k on my B5S4 in less than 1 year. Is that good resale for you? I wasnt the only one as well. Bigdifference between what people advertise their car for and what they reallly pocket. Once the refreshed S4 is out, I bet you that the majority of buyers would opt for the new model at the same price point.

"And with the MB looking like the Honda, that is better? You guys make no sense. Every MB out there with the exception of a few, look just like the accord. The new E, looks like the accord, the C, like the civic, etc, etc.. just my 2 cents. I was really dissapointed with MB when they went from the 208 to the 209 platform."
My point was that MB Has made attractive and subtle design changes over the years more like the Evolutionary philosophy of Porsche and less like the Revolutionary style of BMW.

The intro of the B7 so soon, IMHO is a mistake, and a bad look. Not impressed at all...
And you want to talk about loss of value. My 02' CLK with 32k miles on it, is worth a whopping 30k. The dealer by me has one on the showroom floor, burgundy, with 2000 miles I believe, for less than 40.. And it is loaded, as is mine.. My buyout is 12k higher than what my car is worth. That is pretty sad..

i guess it has that 300M look...not really a bad thing. Its different and bold...but they look better in person...case in point the refreshed A8...loooks nice in person...odd in pics.
anyways, if you want a B6, go to any dealer, they are being discounted quite a bit...even my TINY dealer has 2 loaded up black B6S4's

The bottom line is the new AudiA4 is boring in
exterior styling.
