hit and run - need door
I watched in horror, out the window of my office today, as my C32 got backed into by a commercial vehicle. I wasn't able to get the tag. The right rear door is toast. Is the there a reputable Benz salvage yard that you guys could recommend?
thx

Bought a great complete door today. I watched them remove it from the salvage vehicle. Just need to move my black trim bits to replace the gray ones on the donor. $300 is the going rate here.

I am very sorry to hear that - I watched in “horror” while I slowed for a pedestrian a guy swerved around me on the right (another car went left, pushing pedestrian right faster) and take out my fender on 6/30…just after I replaced a rotted door next to it…and working hard to match the OEM black paint within 10k miles…now the fender is being repainted…
Anyway - it’s an easy job - just make sure you take your door off correctly - DO NOT remove the bolts to the frame of the car - just pull the center pin nuts and door check bolts…

Of course! That’s why we visit this place!
I’d tape off the surrounding car, just to make sure you don’t hit/scratch it…
Have someone spot you and line it up…in your case, you have the advantage of opening the front door too…
If you find the glass doesn’t match, as was the case with mine (tint damage etc) swapping it out is a five minute job with inner door panel off.
