'02 C32AMG Brakes & Tires
hi everyone,
i'm a proud owner of a C32AMG of 2002. i bought it with 72k & now has 90k (highways mileage)... don't get fool by the mileage, it runs like a fox specially after i've replaced the supercharger...
now, i want to change my brakes front & rear & probably tires for winter.
I am coming to you asking for:
- top 3 choices of brakes
- top 3 choices of tires (front & rear).
Any c32amg enthusiast in NJ (Jersey City).
Plus, does any one know a good mechanic for my baby?

so I can't give you any local help. Can you please explain why/when your supercharger was replaced and was it covered by warranty?
If you do a quick search you will find quite a bit of discussion on brakes (from pads to complete make-overs).
I'm not convinced on which summer tires work best on this vehicle (mine is also a 2k2) but I am relatively happy with Goodyear GW-3 (I think) for Winters (same as DUNLOP M3s)

regarding my supercharger, it was making a loud & knocking noise. i had it replace @80k at Ray Catena (good service!!!) in NJ. since then, my car was more responsive...
as for the brakes, i think i am going to go with the Portefields R4S (~75/pad).

knocking sound
you would hear the knocking sound only when you were at very low speed or stopped after a long run. i even open to hood to listen to where the sound was more amplified... & it was on the supercharger... one think is 4 sure... i paid $2.5k for it... just get it service by the dealer or a certified repair shop
