C32 vs C55

C32 vs C55
So I have 2 colleagues with C32's & the one guy upgraded to a C55. He waited hit some mileage & then they tested against each other. I was present & even drove the C32 on the one run. I must say at 5000ft elevatio it seemed the C32 had the edge. Mind you there wasn't much in it. But on a rolling run from low revs the C32 seemed to just nose ahead & the 55 struggled to close the gap.
But at around 180-220km/h the 55 would pass & put its nose ahea. But then it would stay like ahead. BAsically the cars would run side by side all the way to 240km/h with one car a nose ahead at times & the other car at other times. If one guy get sthe jump on the other then there's no way to catch up.

2002 C32 Black/Charcoal
Toss $3K in mods into the game, and race again. The C32 will walk away. This was the point that I made long before the first C55 arrived (that the C32, stock to stock, is the performance equal of the C55 and, with a the same "mod money," the C32 is far superior). I still do not see the attraction of the C55, other than the fact that it is the new model. A potential buyer can almost park two used C32s in his driveway for the price of a new C55.
IMHO, the new C55 would have to be hovering around $50K to make sense. When they get there, let me know.

I do not think C32 would that much slower vs. C55 at sea level. Driver would make more of a difference.
Look at the dynos below.

i know i probably contradicted myself somewhere... but the c43 only went a-tenth or so faster than the c36 even tho the v8 has about 40 more hp and torque than the i6 and the c43 was supposedly lighter...

Ditto that Vader, but I am in San Diego. Granted, my C32 is slightly modded, but I will give the poor C55 the jump. Any takers? Can't get much closer to sea level than San Diego!

(Please wait a sec while I put on my flame-retardant suit.)

Damn, there are a lot of C55 haters here, lol. I've owned both & other than the C32 being easier to mod, i think that the C55 is much better in every way.
