Need some help.
Picking up C55 next week and have a question about antenna placement for the Sat Radio.
The 2 options are a hidden installation in the trunk deck lid that promises fair to good reception, or sticking the antenna on the outside of the trunk which will give good to excellent reception.
Any experiences or ideas?

Thanks for the tip. I've read every post about the C55 for the last 6 months on this Board and Benzworld and German Car Fans and MB Canada without seeing a mention of this topic. The search was a great boon. Even found some folks locally who have dealt with the same issue.

Did you search this topic to see if it even exists? I hate stupid posts like yours that natually assume someone hasn't done a damn thing about searching the topic! Often times this is the case BUT WHO CARES!? You don't have to be so condescending. The time it takes people like you to type this, you could have given a more useful tip. Or better yet, why even post at all?

Which of my words are condescending?

My search for satellite and antenna revealed eleven hits on the W203 C-Class forum for a vehicle with an identical shell and many identical components.

In several of those topics this question is answered in great detail, with attached images. You're welcome for me trying to point the way.

I recently had the Sirius Satelite radio installed at the dealer. They mounted it on the exterior of the trunk lid. It does stick out like a sore thumb, but someone suggested that I paint the antenna the same color as the car.

So far, I am very happy with the unit. You will get 13 months of Sirus for free.
