I keep it clean at the guys in the first pic. Autobaun in North York. They are the absolute best in car care. I go there twice a month for a wash and wax and every 60 days for a complete polish and wax. I use a decent so called touchless wash in between when needed. In the warmer months I do it myself at home but when it gets cold, Autoban gets the nod.

Open the hood and look underneath the star. There is a cylinder coming out the undersided of the ornament. On 2 sides of this cylinder there are preasure arms that have to be squeezed in. A large plyers will do the job. Now just squeeze the 2 arms in and rotate the whole unit clockwise. You can twist the star as well to help. At about 45 degrees twist the arms will line up with cutouts in the hood that will allow the whole assembly to pop out the top>>>>>

Marc:

1) picked it up locally in Toronto, Autowerks has them online.

2) answered

3) Thanks, I like it too. Its a mid weight PVC full frame and one piece mounting plate that I've had for about 8 yrs. I had 2 but my wife scooped the other one for her 330is.They were made by a company in Canada.I could try and source one if you want>>>

brn: The Ipod is hardwired to the lighter and if you have Nav, then there is an AUX plug in the glovebox. No NAV, no plug.

We ran the Aux cable behind the glovebox and down center pod, joined up with the Monster car charger. Then ran the 2 cables under the console to the arm rest storage box. Cut a hole in the bottom of that box for the cables to exit the console. Then the cables can come out under the arm rest lid to the Ipod. No problem closing the lid over the cables and the whole kit goes in the arm rest storage when parked and you would never no its there.

BoB: Thanks man...maybe I"ll see you at Franks sometime,,,,,
