Actually, a blonde woman was driving the notorious "AMG DIS" M3 and I was in my Cayenne turbo looking for a spot to park...

Oh man - BMW drivers can be insecure although there are many who understand what AMG means. I have a lot of good friends who own M3's and they are all really cool people - but there are those few M3 owners that make allt he other ones look bad.

I agree. I work with a guy that loved my C32 when I bought it, and was looking to get a similar car. He bought an M3 and it's very nice. He's definitely not one those immature BMW owners, and he definitely knows the differences between AMG and non-AMG. We haven't raced yet though..........

Yup, I have owned several BMW's (M3, 540i/6, M-Coupe, M5) and have friends at work who own BMW, MB, Porsche, Audi, VW. I still own a GTI. We all enjoy German engineering. No personal attacks. Each car has its pros and cons. At this point, to me the UDM is one with an automatic.

Once upon a time, after I have seen and a ride on my friend in Japan 's black M3 ; I thought it is a great car. He spent something like USD15K for M3 mods: taylor made 19" in Japan, best Nav system ever made in Japan, high-end audio and even black and grey embled instead of the white and blue. It must have taken him more than 4 months to mod his car.
A great car but not for me because I know and have seen what kind of people drive M3. I am not one of them.

The M3 is a great car, no question. To each his/her own. I would have loved to see that M3 in person. I would have shown her what DIS AMG 55 could do.
