Hey guys here are some pics of my C-Coupe and C32 with Vogtland springs,just put them on so them havn't settled completley,not to much of a drop just the way i wanted it.They are a very similar drop to the renntech springs

Thanks PUREMS(Mike)they came out great,just the drop i wanted,i have #4 pads in the rear just for rubbing issues, does it take time for the springs to settle or is this it?what do you recommend?
so you guys know i got the spring from PUREMS they have a variety of springs ,suspension kits,rims,etc,very knowledge people.

Springs usually settle just a bit over the first few hundred miles. The rubber components seat themselves in place and such. Typically the settling isn't more than 1/8" for most installations. People who've never installed springs before may have a little more settling, as they may not have properly seated all the components off the bat.

also, how much more do they weigh compared to the stock C32 or C55 wheels?

Ekaru,those wheels weigh 27lbs for the front and 30lbs in the rear,i think they are 5lbs lighter than stock 17's on the C32,i did the comparsion with the scale from home,which isn't too accurate,but they are lighter for sure.
and if no pics are coming up int the C32 forum,like FrankW said i have them posted in W203 forums now too.

That's great... Larger wheels and less weight... What about overall diameter? Small differences can lead to large changes in speed/odo readings...

Nice looking wheel, although in my opinion the smaller C Class cars are overpowered by 19's, but that's all subjective. The rear could use a little more drop. Does the spring manufacturer provide adjustable rear perches? As for the front, it looks from the picture that the tire/wheel combo sticks out beyond the front fender lip. I see you are using 225's in front. I think if you lower the car any more and use 235's in the future, you will cut the tire and have rubbing problems. A 25mm offset in the front on a 8.5" is just too outboard. In normal stock ride height with a 225, it might be rub free, but with the lowering springs and full weight transfer at maximum cornering speed, the tire should be hitting. Do you have any problems? I have had problems with a ET30 8.5". Use a straight edge touching both the lower and upper rim bead protectors on the tire in a vertical position placing the straight edge on the ground and holding it against the tire. Is there a gap between the tire/wheel and the fender?

i am running 235 front and 265 rear,the 225,and 255 were the recommended sizes,but i went a bit larger,there have been no rubbing issues,only the rears only in harder corner,and max compression on the suspension,or when fully loaded with passenger,and going over bumps,that is the reason for the thicker #4 pad in the rear
if i went to 255 it will solve the problem,and i could go back to a thinner pad which i beleive would be #2.
I have tracked the car recently,and found that the fronts woar the wost on the outside of the tire wall the most,and the rears had the rubbing on the tire wall itself,imagine all the small letter on the sidewall were scape off,and the sidewall has turned a blueish,puple color,caused by all the heat buildup.this happens all the time on the sidewall of my racebike,but i have never been able to acheive this in a car.

It's from lack of sufficient negative camber up front. I had the same issue with my P Zero's; took the letters right off the side wall! And I'm doing a pretty good job destroying any other tire I attempt to run at the limit. Too bad Evosport or anyone else won't design a camber correction solution due to lack of profit for such a limited market.

As for the rubbing, I guess the grafted CLK front end on the C55 has more fender clearance than on the other W203's.

Vadim, glad to see you guys have an interest. The bell tower looks like it will be a real challenge and I don't know the inherent strength of the wall thickness for lateral loads with three holes drilled out and the space required for an adjustable plate. Good luck with the R&D. I had a fabrication shop give me a quote of a few thousand dollars for a prototype and didn't want to supply the "sample" car to test the limits of failure. I guess offset bushings are the next best alternative. Shimming the strut with washers like on a E36 looks like it may provide a different outcome on the C32. Keep us posted, and make the kit available for purchase next month could ya I will give you the first deposit!
