19" rims for Christmas PICS
Christmas was pretty good for me this year! I finally got the 19" rims I was looking for. These bad boys came in Thursday before Christmas. They are 19x8.5 up front and 19x9.5 in the rear. They are called OZ Galileo IIIs. I think they are fairly new. Now it is a matter of dropping my car about 1" in the rear and 1 1/2" up front.

I know the c55 comes with 18's so this issue has me curious if the brakes were changed for the 55 or if that was BS that a larger rim would make the brakes less effective.

Really has nothing to do with being an engineer or not. Just like you said, the C55 comes with the same brakes as the C32 and they were not changed at all. Mercedes would really not offer 18" wheels if they were not meant for it. Sure 19" may still be bigger, but since the wheel is a forged lighter weight wheel, its not to much of an issue. If there was a small difference, it would not be felt. The brakes are good enough for 19s anyway, a 4 piston brembo kit with a over a 13" rotor is more then sufficient for a 19" wheel. All I would say would be better is the brembo GT kit.

Thanks for the comments! No spacers or any other mods! I will drop this bad boy as soon as I can. My car does feel a little slower with the 19s. Pics will follow when it is dropped!
