2002 c32
ROLL CALL Update....

Just wondering how many old timers (& new guys) are still around. I just read that normc32 went to the Caddilac side

I'll give you some of my stats:

In my stable, I'm currently blessed with:

1) 2002 c32 w/ pss9's; JBL's/OZ's/Carver & Soundstream to go on soon (owned since early 2002, when the little things aren't nagging me (ESP!!) I rate it in it's current form: a 9/10!!)

2) 2002 996 Targa w/ pss9's; GT2 Spoiler to go on soon (owned since early 2003, so far a Strong 9.5/10) FYI 996 OEM N/A Stock suspensions was 'almost' as "soft" as stock c32s ... not very impressed.... and yes Mr. Porsche, in this case there was a "substitute"... THANKS PSS9! Now the car means business!!

3) 1989 Porsche Speedster w/ KONI Race Yellows (& other tidbits): a totally unpractical car whose roof leaks when it rains. For that reason it loses .01 and attains a: 9.99/10 --> You don't have to love it, just LUST it

Have a HAPPY NEW YEAR,
God Bless!

2002 c32
Most "effective" mod...

IMHO = SUSPENSION!! Although a little extra power wouldn't hurt either

VW Golf all-wheel-drive (Haldex system); 3.2 VR6, 240hp/236lb-ft. Regrettably, I let mine go last month.

More on R32...

...thanks for asking! It's a semi-limited edition Golf, with 5,000 units produced only in 2004. As the above post noted, it's an AWD, 240 hp 3.2L VR-6 with factory 18" wheels, Koenig sport seats, independent rear suspension, upgraded brakes (I think from the V8 Phaeton) and a mild body kit. Only option is leather, which mine has. Only available colors were silver, black, blue and red. It makes a great little winter car when equipped with four snow tires and -1 wheels. Not quite as fast around a track as the EVO or STI, but, in the opinion of many owners, more livable and tasteful. If you want more info: check out www.vwvortex.com and cruise the R32 forums. Forgot to note, mine went for MSRP last winter, $30k, but dealers are now discounting all of their leftover '04 models, this one included, but it is hard to find.
