Monitor Placement inside a C32...

A dilemma has arised in lcds being placed for the rear within a C32...the options are
1. 2 flip down lcd screens
2. 2 lcd screens with custom molding onto the back of the seats
3. 1 lcd screen with custom molding on the center rear vents, which will blocck the rear vents...

btw, all the screens are 7 inches...

i dunno but to me, 7" flip down is not worth it and the monitors molded to the backs of the seats as well as the one near the vent are pointless as well because there is hardly any room back there. the rear seat passengers would be right on top of the monitors. headrest monitors might make more sense in a w203, the monitors molded to the backs of the seats and the one near the vent would make more sense in an e class, s class or maybach. if you are doing it for no real purpose except to show then it doesnt really matter anyways

Per show reason I would remodify the headrests to accomadate the screens. Flip down is tacky on this size of car IMHO.

I agree, you should get some larger headrests so you can fit screens larger than a cellphones

Problem with using larger headrests is that the seats in the C-Class are small to begin with, and by slapping on E-Class 210 headrests make it look unproportioned, You can't do headrest monitors in a C-Class...

Here is what I did. Take out that plastic piece on the back of the headrest and get 2 Alpine TME-M580 tvs. They are thin enough and a perfect width when you get your headrest re-upholstered. Go to a good upholstery shop! With all of the labor in matching the leather and matching the stock stitches it should cost you around 350-400. I have the cleanest looking headrest tv's I have seen that weren't pre-built headrest with tv's in them. I also had my foam replaced with tempurpedic foam inside the headrest. Good luck. PM me if you want more pics/help

Nah, that doesn't look like the best. This one is the best, without a doubt:
