Anytime man! Crazy how easy those wheels spin. Thanks for helping when all the dealerships turned their backs on me. Today I go get the car reprogrammed.

Cntlaw,
Basically any dealship or any person with a stardiag will be able to reprogram the computer to read xenon=present.

Yes you are correct anyone with a stardiag can do it but that is not the question that should be asked here. The question is WILL THEY DO IT? Some to most of the dealerships will shy away from doing this because they do not want to void warrenties/do not want to get involved with aftermarket parts as they consider anything that is added onto the car outside the dealership aftermarket even though they are OEM parts.

Well near my area there's a service centre without a dealership, they are very helpful but dunno anything about changing the computer, had to print out the sheet someone posted here. Maybe they shy away cos they dunno how to do it??

Cntlaw,
No battery transfer. ALL mb's are pre programed to bi xenons. its just that bi-x use a different voltage. And the cars computer will output that specific voltage when re programmed. I know that if you have bi-x present, that voltage will work for the halogens but not the other way around...

Frozen, I am not sure if they do use more or less power. But the computer still needs to recongnize that there are xenons present.

I got the car reprogrammed today. All is good. Bi-xenons no longer flicker. They took almost 1 hour. The upgrade was well worth it. Total price of retrofitting bi-xenons was $1300

I thought the reprogram was just so the computer doesn't give you a lights-out warning since the Xenon draws less amp than halogen? Are you saying the xenon will actually flicker without being programmed? Is this because of daytime running light (half power) or whenever you turn the headlights on?
I am thinking about doing it on my W211, but the bumper removal scares me. And I can't find any dealer in SoCal who would do the programming.
Gaston Rey has these lights for less than $900.

I don't know exactly what the computer tells the lights but if the car isn't programmed the lights flicker.... Lights fo rless than 900 dollars is a great deal for bi-xenons....and the bumper removal is not that hard.....just have to know where the bolts are...
