for reference, on my c32 i have 15% tint and my car is also black on black. it looks a tiny shade above 5%. it is dark, but still surprisingly easy to see from inside looking out. in sunlight, you can still see through it slightly. i would recommend 15% if you want an agressive tint, but not 5% blacked out. 15% in rear, 30% in front i think. you have to consider that the black interior makes tint look blacker too, maybe 30% might be good if you don't want it very dark.

I have 35% and I have attached a pic on my red coupe. It could be a shade darker, but that is the legal limit here.

I recommend 35%, I had this on my black/black cobra and it looked great. Plus it isn't overly noticeable like the darker tint %.

Go for 20%!
IMO, the best looking is 20% ...
5% is too dark, you can easily get a ticket. 35% is legal, but you can see right through it. 20% is still illegal but at least it's not that dark. When I got my tints installed I asked for 20% but it's actually 16% ... at least that's what the cop's machine measured when I got pulled over

I had 35% on the rears and 50% on the front and just changed mine to 5% rears and 35% front. My car is black/black and IMO it looks bad ***!

at first i got 24% on my car and hated it! was to light, so me being so picky paid a couple hundred more to get it done darker. Now the guy said he used 12%, but to me, looks a little lighter.

here is a pic with 24%

and 12% now

Same effect of how you can't see someone's eyes when they're wearing sunglasses, but they can see you just fine....

During the day is easy, at night u just gotta pay more attention. My friend with 5% cant see **** out at night, so he always keeps his windows down! :p

You get used to them after awhile. I had my BMW tinted double with 5%. I couldn't see anything at night so had to depend on side mirrors!

No, Neal answered it. I meant night time driving.
My cousin's cars' are all tinted at 10% and whenever I drive them I feel as if I'm going to run over someone.

I've never driven a car with that level of tint on the windows and if it does impede your vision that much I'd find that VERY annoying..

Another reason why my cars are not tinted.
I do a lot of night driving.
However, I'm looking into doing those UV tints where it only reflects out heat.

35% is the darkest tint that i think you can see pretty clearly at night. i have 35% tints all around on my c55 and can see fine at night. 20% and darker will make it pretty difficult to see during night driving.

Agreed, I personally would never go any darker than 35%.
