Cool backup sensors installed

Just installed the backup (2)sensors on my car...pretty fun project and it works great. I'm not too handy so the edge of the hole is a bit ruff but overall it looks not too bad.

Is four the normal amount of sensors? I wonder how well two will cover the rear area for obstacles. I'd hate to try and rely on it and end up hitting something anyway. How embarrasing would that be? Just wondering because it's an option I had on my last ride and wished it was an option on the C55.

That would hilarious !!!!! Hitting something with the sensors installed, I don think my buddies would ever let me live that done.

Regarding cost, my dealer quoted about $300, not an OEM system though. I am thinking about getting it, parking in the city can be tight.

Thanks. The installation took about 3 hours. Most of time is trying to figure out how to take out the bumper strips. Once the bumper strip is out, the reset is pretty easy. Also you need a right size hole driller for the perfect holes. Drilling is effortless once you get the location right.
I paid $35 for the package and another $5 for the hole driller adaptor @ homedepot.
These aftermarket sensors I got is amazing! It will sense the wall parellal to the car and also a can of coke on the middle bumper within 5 feet and curb on the side of the street. I can adjust the sensativity of the sensors too. It has 3 intervals and final beep occure at around 10in from the object so you have time to react.
It's a good option for less then $50.

Where did you get the kit (or who makes it / brand ) ? How does it hook up?

Yes. It's only audio warning no display unit and that's all u need anyway.
My friend get the kit for me from Taiwan, directly from manufacture. It actually comes with free installation but my car is not there. :P My friend said they do OEM for some car manufacture in TW so the unit is very reliable.

I know this might be off topic sort of but one time we were in a movie theater parking lot in my Dad's '03 S55 and the parktronic was going crazy but yet...he backed into a Lexus ...we didnt leave a note because there was no damage on any of the cars but still that hilarious

DL_AMG : Could you hook us up too for the back up sensor from TW? Or at least can you share with me where in TW did your friend buy the kit? I'd like to install this on my cars if it's reliable. Please keep us update as you use it for the next month or so.

Thanks in advance
