Two Questions Inside....

Second, does anyone know how many C32s are produced each year? Also, if anyone has monthly and year-to-date sales numbers, that would be great too.
Thanks.
I think there're 3,500 of C32 imported to North America each year (that will be including Canada). In my city, there is only 1 C32 being allocated each month for each dealership.
I was very surprised when I discovered this.
- 4matic available in all C class cars (except C-coupes)
$1800 option
- a C240 wagon
- 6 speed manual trans in C240 wagons and C320 wagons and sedans
No word of any cosmetic changes for the states
4-matic won't be available on the C32 AMG. i don't know if MB'll start offer 4-matic next year or 04. we'll have to wait and see.
I was at my dealer a few days ago, and I asked the Sales Manager about the 2003 C-Class angel eyes headlights aswell as a facelift, and he said they will not be available in North America, the new C-Class with the facelifted clear headlights will only be available in Europe. The 2003 C-Class will look the exact same, no facelift, no new headlights, nothing, for 2003. He did say there is a possibility that they will offer Parktronic as an option to North America, but this has not been confirmed.
I was very surprised when I discovered this.
I think those new headlights are very modern looking. Umm....lets get them in Europe then!!
WHAT??? That is SUPER disappointing!!!

from my understanding the halogen headlight will have the same layout as the current headlight with clear lense. bi-xenon headlight will have those "ugly" projection lights.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG

"Model of success: AMG has sold some 9000 sporty C-Class models
The Mercedes-Benz C 32 AMG supersedes the C 43 AMG and C 55 AMG, of which approx. 4200 have been produced. Together with the C 36 AMG, the very first complete AMG vehicle, a total of some 9000 sporty C-Class vehicles drove out of the production buildings in Affalterbach and Bremen between 1994 and May 2000. The new models C 32 AMG and SLK 32 AMG will continue this success story; 3500 units of the Saloon and Estate are planned per year, together with 2000 units of the SLK 32 AMG."
But I always have a feeling that if the demand is there, MB might produce more than 3500 units per year. Consumers, like us, will never know the exact figure. MB can keep saying that all AMGs are continued to be "limited production" cars while they can sell a couple hundreds more. Is that possible?
