Netherlands Alarm Chirp

I spoke with my dealer while my car was in the shop and requested the chirp for the alarm. He said he couldn't do it. He could only make the lights flash or not. Where do I get this done.

please search for "truth about netherlands setting" and you will find your answer. It's in the w203 forum. The DAS user has to go into "REAR SAM" and change COUNTRY REGION = NETHERLANDS

Yeah, when you change the setting you lose the "panic" function on your smart key. The dealer can do it, he just may be unaware of it.

So you CAN have the option of the alarm chirp instead of it being silent? It has do be done by the dealer or can I do it? I was wondering about this as I'd prefer the chirp just b/c when I get out of my car and walk away, I'd rather hear a chirp knowing it actually armed instead of watching for the lights.
