C43 --> C55 conversion
I need some help. Can anyone tell me exactly what parts I need and if it really works with an E55 engine! I'm working at a dealer and I spoke to a AMG representative....he told me it's impossible and that I need to send my car to the A;G manufactory and sepend arround $30k for the conversion! I can't belive that so I need some more info!

check out www.club202.com, there is a guy on there who did the conversion, his screen name is "coolcarlskic43". I'm sure he can provide you with all the information that you need. Keep us posted on the conversion

Give that to him.The motor swap is also a piece of cake being that they are basically the same engine.The stck C43 tranny loves the 5.5L motor more!Basically the trannies are the same as well.Just use E55 motor mounts they look the same but are much more stouter and about 20-30.00 more.

Since I have a supercharged C43 would you recommend upgrading to these motor mounts? Would they work with the C43 engine?

the labor cost of boring out the 4.3 probably WOULD cost somewhere near 20k.

There's nothing indicating to me that the rep would think Teck was asking about boring the 4.3L motor or anything like that so I don't know why the crazee rep would think he meant otherwise.He asked this retarded AMG rep a simple question about engine replacement and the rep said NO impossible.
We know that these guys don't always know what the hell they're taking about but I also don't think he misunderstood Teck's question. No big deal though!However I understand your point.I would say the rep is a Jack *** if he was thinking otherwise.

Wow great info thanks guys. But in fact that's what I thought. The C43 engine is a M113 like the E55 engine! Right know I'm searching a crashed E55 for the parts I need, last year we had one...maybe this year as well 
The AMG rep. wanted to sell me the W202 C55 engine with tranny and some other stuff
AMG just want to make money!

I was never truly impressed with the handling on these cars(C43) but it basically feels the same.After all I drive a BMW M3 and a modded BMW 332i so handling is also like night and day BMW vs MB.My fully modded AWD Talon is my most powerful and best handling car though hands down.

You can use a E500 5.oL motor.You just have to get a 5.5L crank and the other items I mentioned above.

"Hi Teck you can install the W210 E55 angine in your car, but you can't close the hood bacause the E55 engine is higher than the C43 engine...."
