Chip Tuning

Hi All,
I am a new owner of a 99 C43. I had it lowered using H&R sport with chrome stock amgs. Has anyone heard of an AMG aftermarket chip, or an AMG European spec chip for the C43? I would only be interested in replacing my stock chip with another one by amg. Has anyone out there even chipped their C43, and how do you like it? As for as the pics of everyones C36 and C43, there are some really great looking cars out there, folks!!! Great to see!!! Thanks in advance!

1999 c43 w/lots of mods
i have a 1999 c43 and im going to chip it with upsolute. gains are about 25hp and the same with torque, my other mods include evosport underdrive pulleys, evosport intake manifold, and a port and polish soon, after the chip i see 360-370hp very realistic with 380hp a possibility(after i strait pipe it) the pulleys and manifold cost $500 each, the chip is $375 installed and the port and polish is from $700-$1000 so throw $2500 in your motor and you will be beating m5's and moded s4's, you will shave a good 1.5 off your 1/4 mile and be sub 5 second 0-60. www.evosport.com

Euro:

I was just curious, are you going with Upsolute b/c of the price or are there other reasons...better program, service, etc etc.?

Question $2500 for extra 80HP... is that realistic?

hello...
seems like way too much power for those few upgrades...

and way too much performance increase for that little upgrade.

i doubt sub- 5 sec 0-60

Evosport, please comment....

thanks!

I doubt sub- 5 sec 0-60 as well but I would believe those HP #'s because whatever you do to a V8 is going to pack on a lot more HP then say an inline 4!!! So believe the HP #'s. but it's real hard to lower 0-60 #'s.

the ratio i have always used is for every 100hp increase , thats good for 1 sec better 0-60 and 1 sec better 1/4 mile.
