i had mines done awhile back even before i recieved the official recall letter. they were really cool about it and didn't even charge me. dropped thecar off in the morning and pick it up after work. make sure to take yours in and have them check the PN on your harmonic balancer to see if yours is one of the bad ones on the recall list because not all harmonic balancer were affected.

Don't have a Mercedes right now...
Are all 99 C43's on recall? How would you know if the car has the problem, what are the symptoms?
I am not the original owner of the car so I don't think that MB will send me a letter.

the recall is from 89-01 112 and 113 engines. there has been a discussion on this in another thread

if your HB has any one of thses part numbers, then it will need to be replaced.
