C43 powdercoated calipers
I just got my calipers back from the powdercoater.The color is candyapple blue .I am getting my stainless steel lines installed also.I will post some pics of them on the car this weekend but for now this will have to do........

What color is your C43??? It's nice to see something other than red. I thought about doing my calipers in race gold color. Also, how much to have them powder coated???
I painted mine silver to match the car with ceramic caliper paint. Funny thing is that when I lowered my car I cleaned up the wheel wells and suspension parts. The brake cleaner nearly removed all my silver paint from my calipers...kinda funny. I knew powdercoating was the way to go.

I'm sure you've piqued a lot of interest with those x-drilled rotors. How much, where, who, etc? It's really hard to find a decent set of x-drilled for this car. Not that the stock rotors suck, but with the right wheels it makes a nice visual upgrade.

In regards to the x-drilled rotors- they were on the car when I purchased it.I got the stainless steel brake lines from www.performanceproducts.com.

Everyone likes them rotors Dave....has anyone done the cryogenic (frozen)treatment? My next brake job, I'm buying the stock rotors and having them frozen, we'll see how that works out.

I think the rotors are custom drilled. I slightly remember reading somewhere of a benz owner cross drilling his own rotors. If the hub has the AMG logo on it then they are probably custom.

Similarly, does anyone have experience with the Dicc Italia rotors? A buddy at work just put some on his Audi, but it's too soon to tell if they are worth it. At $799 for a front set they aren't much more (if any) than it would cost to buy new OEM and have them drilled. I've just heard some scary strories from the auto-X guys about the drilling. They all prefer the cryo treatment.

I'm thinking it would be way too costly Dave...would not be worth it unless you have a friend in the trade, so to speak. I've never heard of commercial titanium coating for brake rotors.

I've seen the new porsche turbo's brakes and they are ceramic rotors. Almost look like a deep dark carbon fiber. Coolest thing I've seen. The owner explained the car was either wicked fast or at a dead stop. Throttle means "on" brakes mean "off". No fade and no dust.

I would just take the wheel off. The "AMG" stamp should be a visable as day right near the lug holes. That would answer the question I think. Maybe some amg rotors don't have the stamp though.....mine are 98' OEM and they have it. THANKS.
