Ok, not quite as sexy as shoe horning the new 6.2 litre engine into it but I have lost a metal dust cap and need a replacement .. are this the OEM original ?

I went down to my local Benz dealership ( in my Renault Clio ) and they did not have anything similar.

Any thoughts ?

try a local tire shop. thats where i got mine when i got new rubber.

I'm sure the stock ones vary. I would assume they would be the black plastic/rubber ones for OEM. You can buy a set of four replacement caps and valve stems at any auto store. Its a generic item.

The pictured valve stem is not OEM. Rather a tireshop "fancy" variety.

OEM cap will have embossed mercedes star and will fit over nearly the whole valve assembly!

you can get the ones in your pics for about $3 at Schucks or Autozone, it's a little packet of 4 yellow color if i remember
oem are black plastic, unless you go for the stamped oem chromes like $18
