light on dash that i dont know? and a mechanic wrench symbol ??

hello all, im a new c43 amg owner and ive run into a couple head scratchers. the car runs excellent ad has 98k. first thing is i have a weird light on, right next to the odometer reading on the dash, the symbol lights up yellow and looks like a steering wheel with 3 slashes on both sides, it comes on from time to time on a daily basis, its on the left side of the light bulb failure indicator light, whats that light and whats the problem or cause of it, also when i first start my car i get a cresent wrence symbol on the actual odometer reading area. it kinda counts its self down which now it reads -6, im assuming thats the oil life or telling me i need to change oil. if anyone can help me on these questions id greatly appreciate it, i tryed to search but no luck.

TIA

first one = brake pad sensor (low pads), i think

second one = service indicator. "-6" = your are 6 miles over due for service. if only one wrench = a service. two wrenches = b service.

check your owner's manual ... it's all in there.

good luck.

Maximus has informed you correctly. The first thing to which you refer, the light with the circle and dashes around it, is the brake wear indicator. The wrench in the odometer is the service indicator, and it is saying you are overdue for an 'A' service.

BTW, welcome to the forums. Be patient, and you'll gather a lot of useful info on owning, operating, and servicing your MB.

What an unappreciative guy you are. You ask for help, and don't like it?

You shouldn't have bought a car without a manual anyways!!!! DUH!
Good luck for getting help again.
