C43 AMG 1998 shogun

I sold my '01 CLK320 to buy this genuine AMG, the C43. The car is in excellent condition but has had caught in the middle of a minor chaincrash (don't know the exact term in english). For some reason the previous owner replaced a genuine rear apron with a different one. I'm currently in search of the original AMG one. Car is also lowered a bit and has extremely rare Carlsson rear spoiler (on sale right now).

Overall a great Euro model with tons of extras: folding mirrors, Xenons, GPS, headlamp wipers, carbon interior, rain sensor, automated rear curtain etc.

PICS:

Thanks! I really enjoy the roar of the V8 every time I start the car I try to snap some pics of my interior. Carbon is just an imitation ofcourse, but still nicer than so-called wood I had in my CLK

I would like to see the powered rear shade , GPS , and folding mirrors(the button) I have seen parktronic on w202 C class but never seen those above. Is the GPS the one on w140 S class? integrated on the headunit? or is it something like command?

thanks

That's a great looking car! Love the options. Any way to get the part numbers for the folding mirrors you have?

As requested, gentlemen:

Button first from right is powered rear shade, second from right is button for folding mirrors. PS! Note the "carbon" trim!

Second button from right turns off the horn. Why is it necessary, don't know.

GPS antenna, covered with snow

beautiful. I love those options. thanks for the pics.

one more questions. what is the button on the left? it has the same icon on it as the power shade up and down on the right.

the GPS antenna is also available on MY2000 US spec C class cars. But its for the teleaid. No real GPS monitor.

You have got the xenons too. you are just missing the parktronic. almost every option possible.

there is a swiss guy on this forum" tech" has all the options possible. 1998 silver.

are you planing on any mods?

Damn - that rear sun shade would have been nice to have here. Why those options aren't on US-spec cars I'll never know

As for mods - maybe 18" Monoblocks for summer, but I seriously doubt it, 'cause this demands a suspension detune. Car is as low as possible right now and looks pretty badass.

The only mod I might consider is 5,5 conversion. I have most probably the only C43 AMG in the Baltic states and therefore impossible to sell for fair price (noone wants to buy a '98 C-class for such price around here ). So why not make the car even more exclusive. Either way no point in ever selling it.

I thought that CF pillars are common but I noticed at DarthCY thread that it is some sort of rare option in US. Well, I've got it too

My car's color is Obsidian Green Black Metallic - a nice black with blue and green shades. Was it an option for US market?

The only thing I really miss, is two-toned (white on black) interior, and need to settle with black on black.

C43AMG - Are you sure they're actually carbon fiber??? I have the faux carbon fiber upon this metal trim piece, upon which I put REAL carbon fiber covers or appliques....MB dropped the ball on those cheesy as hell covers. I really would have liked the rear window shade too. I have seen the carbon-fiber pattern trim on the inside of some W202's in the states; but all the C43's I have seen, state-side, have the wood accented interior v. the CF trim.
