Does the antenna on a c280 come with a fuse??
My antenna has stopped working. I have an after market HU, and it was working long after installtion. Wondering maybe if a fuse was blown??

I am talking about either a fuse directly on the antenna. If not, can you tell me which fuse under the hood/or trunk corresponds with the antenna. I do not have the listing for which fuse is for what in my car.
Thanks

Check your connection, it may have possibly wiggled loose - I'm not aware of an antenna having a dedicated fuse. If you have an aftermarket headunit and have the adapters to use the previous MB radio there is a possibility that one of these connections is suspect. Let us know, even though this is an AMG forum, we're ALL here to help.

The internal antenna is just total crap, needless to say the OEM factory radio/cd players aren't that great either. My Pioneer in my Toyota gets better reception in both AM and FM.

Right about that. By the way, when I play music in my C43, the cover of the first aid kit box always rattles, I try to close it but still doesn't stop. Don't have the first aid kit in there wasn't in when I bought the car.

jared ... just a thought, are you sure its the first aid compartment? i was also having rattles back there, but turned out to be the 3rd brake light jiggling around. i jammed some shims between the deck and the brake light to tighten up the fit. rattles have since stopped.

either that or the casing for the brake light rattles too. I am thinking about black-taping it....
Stock sound is awesome tho.

Found out that I was correct...it was actually the first aid box where its suppose to close, it won't close properly so its causing a rattle. It wasn't the 3rd brake light I checked that. So I just put a small piece of foam in between the latch and the rattle seems to be gone.
