This is my 3rd c-class and every one of them has had the passenger side corner light fall out while driving. 2x on my '96 C220, once on my '95 C280 and now my C43. And yes I made sure it was in correctly. Has anyone ever have this problem?

I use to have a 1996 C280 Before and i encountered the same problem but now i have a C43 and everything seems fine so far

nope, ive never had this problem.

but i DO have an intermittent problem with the rear brake light bulbs failing.

I did have this problem! I found it hanging out by the wires when I parked. I didn't take a really good look at it, but from what I saw the plastic bracket that broke seemed to have gotten very brittle and just snapped. I ended up replacing the ebay clear corner(came with car) with a Bosch unit and snugged it in there. It stays in now, but I didn't really 'fix' the problem.

Funny that I just recieved my bosche replacement set yesterday. I have been having the same problem the past month or two. Car wash, bump, wind, anything seemed to pop the light out. I had this happen with my C230 202 and I went through 2 sets of cheap ebay lights until I realized that the price difference mainly compromised fitment. I guess you get what you pay for in terms of OEM/Ebay clears.

I have had this happen. The retaining tab must click in audibly (!). The lamp will fit and seem tight, but if you don't hear nice loud click, it isn't engaged. This usually is an issue after accident repairs. Shops just dont seem to get the headlight position correct, and since the corner lamp has tabs that engage the headlamp, it can cause the tab to become very difficult to engage. I have had them so hard to engage that I had to readjust the entire headlamp/corner lamp assembly.
