Crank Position Sensor location?

I think there's a pic in the W210 forum. Same place. Use the search and I'm sure you'll find it. I seem to recall someone here - Nitro or Staplegun maybe? - had posted pics too.
In a nutshell it's at the top of the bell housing in a semi-hard-to-reach location. I picked up a flex extension to help with the r&r. In fact, whoever it was (sorry for not recalling exactly) that posted in here had listed tools as well. Search and ye shall find.

It has been posted many times - it is located on the driver's side bell housing aka the flywheel housing. If you shine a high powered flashlight directly aft of the left cylinder bank you'll see the CPS w/plug - you'll need a small e-torx, 1/4" ratchet with universals and a little patience.

Thanks for the help, guys. Have you guys heard of these working intermittently? On 3 separate occasions I tried to start the car and the starter cranks but the engine won't turn over, 1 time it stalled while idling. When I wasn't able to start the car all I had to do was wait about an hour and it would start, it never started when I immediately re-tried. I replaced the fuel filter, removed the fuel pump and applied direct voltage to the pump and the pump worked. Based on the threads I've read my last guess is the crank position sensor? Any additional suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Apparently this is a problem that manifests itself when the car is warm. Car will start once cooled off but problem will come back - who knows when though.

Thanks guys, that did the trick, bimmerparts.com had one for $78.38, they're listed in their catalog as a reference sensor. I included a pic of the location of the sensor.
