Hey kudos to you bud on your retiring pre sixty- I got another nine and I'll be fifty and retired too. Whatever that means...I've had the means to do what I please for the past ten years and it's not because I waste my money.

The whole reason I post on this forum is not to **** on anyone's corn flakes it's to contribute to anyone's problems for which I can help and not have the $tealership take your hard-earned money. Your MAF insert is a great find BTW.

Whether or not you change your leads is up to anyone who asked the question - your wires may or may not need replacement. Much like a $77 CPS, that'll leave you stranded on the side of the road without warning - probably a pretty good idea to replace. There's the ol' saying, "...penny wise, dollar foolish." A car with 100K in NYC is not a car with 100K in Phoenix, Arizona.

Hey MB tells me that my ATF is lifetime and never needs replacing. I've turned wrenches for a living and I don't buy that BS. You wish to heed that advice, go right ahead. I really don't want to engage on a tit for tat on this okay?

Also, to remain on topic, the question was "tune-up suggestions," most of that suggested are C43 owners making suggestions so others can avoid making the same errors. Did you say you own a C43?

StapleGun - I don't know why you insist on getting insulting sometimes. Everyone here values your input. There should be no requirement to accept it 100%.

I've got 37 years professional experience to back up my input. Is it not valid because you don't like my opinion?

Have owned

And have turned wrenches for 40 years as a hobby.Race cars, hot rods ,customs, sports cars, dragsters. So when the subject of plugs came up,I tossed in my views on wires.Really how much you can do to tune up a solid state, coil on plug ,Ecu controlled car is limited to maintaining those regular maint items, unless he meant zoop up,in which case I am sure you have much more to offer him in the way of terse opinions.
I did not realize you had your own private domain, next time I will let my 2cents and several hundred dollar savings Maf insert stay clear of your turf.

And since you don't seem to be informed MB has changed it's stance and for several years has recommended transmission fluid changes, and yes i perform them as required. Thanks
RETIRED and having the means to do what I wish to do,if you have ten years to go,you sir have neither the means or the ability to do whatever you desire.

at 80k, and year 1999. M.B recommend spark plugs at 100k or 6 years interval, so you might want to take care that, and brake fluid, coolant are recommended at every 30k. I wouldn't touch anything if it's not broken!

No it's obviously a V12 in the pic, the little arrow points to the relative position of the CPS, same location, the upper left side (driver's side) of the bell housing. Search just aft of the left bank of cylinders...

Hope I can assist.

p/n F 00C 2G2 025 on the VW above is the exact same sensor in the MAF for the MAF in my ML430. Complete MAF Part # 113 094 0048 (Bosch 0280217810)
