ET rim questions, please answer.

Okay so I have owned my car now for 5 months and have had 3 sets of wheels and considering the forth. Here is what I have learned. Besides stock is best.
18x9 and 18x10 ET44 fit all the way around. 9's on that high of an offset rub the control arm slightly. 225x40 front and 245x35 rear

19x8.5 and 9.5 ET35 fit all around but with 235x40x19 and 265x35x19 the tires rub the fenders.

Now the question is I plan on running 18x8.5 and 9.5 ET 25 in front and ET28 in rear. Now I know the rears will fit and be fine. The question is will the front rub. I know the fronts are 10mm lower ET in front that stock. So any advise will be great. The rims btw are OEM CLS AMG wheels. Thanks.

I think you'll be fine as long as your car isn't lowered. Both of those offsets are fairly aggressive.

lensolo. Thanks for the replies. What size tires are you using up front? I was debating on stretching a 215x40x18 on the fronts to try to limit the rubbing.

I'm currently running Fikse FM-10's with a ET28 in the front and rub ever so slightly on the fender with 225/40-18

Well, the reason your tires rubbed with the 19's is cuz those tires are s class sizes. You need a 235/35/19 front and 265 30 19 rear. Then it shouldnt rub. I think youll be fine with the new setup its better to have that rim away from the control arm, just roll the fenders if you need to and run a narrower tire to get by.

So to answer my own question I just got the wheels and put them on. The ET is actually perfect of these cars as it brings the wheels right to the lip of the fender. Again I am running cls amg wheels 18x8.5 and 9.5 ET25 F and ET29 R.

thanks guys. The rubbing is not bad actually. It rubbed alot harder with the 19's. With these it only rubs in the front light on a hard dip in the road. Would be perfect with a 215x40x18 in front.
