what to do about the rubbing.

I have those wheels on my C43...I had the 255 / 275 combo and it was nothing but rubbing...I'd say switch very quickly before you have a blowout...my tires were slowly shredding and I don't want you to be in danger. Switch those wheels on to 225 fronts and 255 rears...and do it fast!

Get the tirerack fender roller and you can easily get an extra inch of clearance out of the rear fenders. MB fenders are REAL thick and you can roll them a substantial amount. The fronts not as much. The max you can probably run on a properly rolled W202 chassis is 245 fronts and 265 rears (Maybe 275s depending on offset/camber/how extreme you roll fenders. Hope that helps

P.S. I've been using the tool for years and it is an absolute life savers and it allows you to fit wheel & tire combos most people thought to be impossible. Typically you can increase your clearance by an additional 1-2 width sizes (ex. if you could fit 245 max stock, you can run 255-265, etc).

well that was my plan but im not too concerned with the paint cracking because my buddy would be doing it at his shop so if it does crack i would just have them repainted, i dont know though im stuck between gettin smaller tires or rolling the fenders out.

so dont read them , why would u read something that pisses u off some of us like to waste money on our cars myself included, so if u dont like it keep it moving.
to each is own. If you dont like it move. I agree with you et30. I would modify a lawnmower if I owned one. Modding cars is a way to be different and make it you own. If you like it thats all that matters.
ET so whats the plan??
