has anyone replaced their stock amg front rotors with some other non-oem type? i was doing some research, and found ATE/Zimmerman rotors for $65 each on the web, versus amg's which run for about $300 apiece. anyone have experience with these?

thanks...

Are you sure they are for the front?? They are probably for the rear. As far as I know there are only OEM available for the front @ around $250ish

Good chance that is a mispriced rotor...
I searched all over the web before I found mine and ended up paying $600 through www.rimier.com (current link $539 LINK ) it'll end up about the same w/shipping - this price is with the cryogenic treatment too. I think throwing anything more expensive (i.e. Brembo or otherwise) on a ten-year old car is quite frankly wasting money - the AMG brakes are more than adequate.
