paging nitrogenbalance, and others re: "kompressor" fun
didn't realize how fast our cars were until today! First time the temperature got up to 50 or so and the roads got a bit cleared out- this is going to be fun!
still don't have all my gauges installed (messed up the threads on my wideband bung welding it in too- like a moron) but had so much fun driving i don't even care.

it is basically still just the hps gen I kit in every way that matters (photo wise)- i will try to get some new pics though soon.
I'm using the ngk afx wideband- read good things about it on the bf.c vs. the other "cheap" ones
i'm using cyberdyne for my other gauges- some may say they are cheap but they have the right "look" and the price allowed me to get all the digital gauges i wanted.

glad you're enjoying your new set up drew. did you encounter any problems with the install? also, why did you go this route instead of a motor swap? which is faster,a motor swap or a supercharged 43? i am now beginning to envy your car! lol

Awesome
Funny, I had mine out yesterday also. It hit 50 here so I gave it a quick bath and run around town. Just in case you were wondering about some data I noticed IATs to hover around 90-100 and under WOT they would peak around 120-130ish. This was with 50 degree weather and a quick run in case you were curious.
The cyberdyne gauges were a route I was going to go. I like them and you can get an orange color that matches the factory lighting perfect.
Glad shes up and running, get it to the dyno while its still cool to get some baslines before you start more custom stuff. You should be able to make around 335-345whp and 370whtq give or take.
The setup is very powerful and has a very violent way of letting it out. I tell people and they don't believe me until they drive it. Sure I've been in faster cars but this one is much more fun. Rolling burnouts are the best thing this car will do with the onset of torque and boost created by the positive discplacement blower. Have fun bud.

i will say my spirited 10 minute drive yesterday produced some real heat, lol.
You weren't joking about the need for something to fight it (not that i haven't taken it seriously)

so far as the swap vs. sc route- I have 3k into my SC set-up including the guages and it will make more power than a swapped car.

Silence, I thought I had seen pictures of your setup and you were running a centrifugal supercharger, but I may have been mistaken. I also thought HPS used a twin screw blower. I'm just curious on which part I am incorrect. I appreciate it.

That kit would be using an Eaton S/C with no intercooler. Since that is a positive displacement s/c and not a centrifugal, it should make bottom end power as well.
