, but yea, also chekc your control arms, those crack around the time of the suspension also. put your car in drive go forward a it then hit the brakes. and do it in reverse, if u don't feel an arm pulling the car like it's looose, then ur good. i found this on my friend's car. lovely white C class also.

I've got the same wheels but staggered. 18x8.5 F 18x9.5 R (225-40-18/255-35-18 R ).
I think a 20mm spacer in your rear wheel will improve the stance and bring it out for even better handling .
Did you go non-staggered so you can rotate the tires ?

i love the '97 C36. I had a 97 c280 which is similar in nature (coupling the 5spd auto with the i-6 for the first and last time *F'ers*) 36 motor was based from 280 block.
DOHC 24v, displacement was increased from 2.8 to 3.6L by swapping the crank out with a crank from (believe it or not) the 6-cyl 3.5 deisel motors of the era, then they reworked the cams and gave the car an agressive intake and exhaust and it was beautiful! then they gave it some more pep in '97 i think they upped the hp and tq around 10 each that year.
I loved the sound of the 280 I-6 i bet your car sounds sweet! Keep an eye on that head gasket they love to leak after about 120k miles... in my opinion the only weakness of that i-6 motor, the iron block with al head makes it rougher on the gasket during thermal epxansion...

haha, the front i can try with the pinky maybe
