sounds like airplane
i'm not clear on what your trying to do exactly?
i believe it's 2.5" through the cats and resonators stock and then combines into 1 3" before entering the muffler.
are you removing anything? what are your goals here?

Where exactly are you planning on putting the x-pipe? Do a search for a post I have where I had my cats replaced with stainless 200 cel cats. I then had a custom mandrel bend 3in stainless exhaust all the way back. I don't think you'll need an x pipe. I used a 2.5 into 3 Y pipe from the cats with the 3in all the way back.

That is misleading, it is not actually 2.75"
The piping going TO the rear muffler IS 2.75" but one of the club202 members actually disected the C36 muffler and found out that the exhaust infact is NOT 2.75" but infact the inlet is ONLY 2.25" and not only that but it is not 100% free flowing (it is an internal baffle design). So its a 2.25" restricted muffler not a 2.75" free flowing one. Best thing do is just run a 2.5" free flowing magnaflow or a 2.25" mangaflow all-in-one muffler and open up the inlet (you can easily open it up to 2.5" easy. 14833 is great candidate, perfect match to C36 square tips). Either way a 100% free flowing 14833 will still pick up probably around wheel HP (don't expect much more then that).
the biggest bottle neck is the mid-pipe section #1 (headers flange to just after cats flange). Open that up and you will get some serious flow. headers are actually pretty good although not perfect.
Hope that helps

By the way Our C43 mufflers are different than the C36 mufflers. Show us a disected C43 muffler. The stck C43 muffler certainly does not hold back my car.
