Rear window problems
Well, once again a random electrical problem has reared its ugly head on my '99 C43. Went to roll my rear right window back up, and after pressing the button nothing happened. Basically had to turn the key on and off about 6 or 7 times while only getting about an inch or two of window travel each time in the upward direction. Window goes down without a problem. A similar thing happened to my w201 a while ago, and it turned out to be a broken window motor....easy fix on that car. But on this, there is the side airbag and everything. Do you guys think this is the problem? If so, is this a repair that I can make in an afternoon or should I just take it into the shop? Thanks guys

since it moved, mostlikely also clicks, so motor should be good
what's broken it's your window regulator
it's pretty easy diy, even if the airbag is there, you can remove the door panel without touching really disconnecting the airbag, or if you need more room, disconnect your car battery, then disconnect airbag, do your work, then plug back in before connecting car battery (to avoid tripping any airbag lights in the dash).
i don't have a writeup handy, but i remember seeing one on club202
also when you look for parts, check out window regulator, you'll get an idea of what it involves to replace it, when you see the pic of it. it's not that hard, just go slow and take your time, better than $$$ at dealer imo
plus once you do it, your other 3 windows will go out j/k

Pull the local and remote switches ( driver accessed and rear passenger accessed )and jumper around it....if the window works then it's just the switch...if it doesn't then time to remove the door panel...
