they have it because it existed and they realized the benefits of partnering...

then AMG sold out to them and now they are everywhere!

they might be Mercedes' "*****" but they aren't what they used to be

hahaha, not as styling as an e63 wagon (it does look fabulous in a customized graphite metallic color we saw at a dealer), but same response in a 13 year old volvo wagon hahaha

would never said it was even in the same time zone, just the same responses . shoot, my thing is fwd with lousy weight distribution and fighting the near 300 horses torque steer for cry'n out loud, which btw, makes for fun track driving without a front sway bar hahaha.

ur volvo has 300hp? thats a tad excessive for a front wheel drive car no?

front wheel drive car = chariot. gettin pulled around by front wheel power is all too similar to getting pulled around by a couple of horses in an old time buggy.

close. and handles, well, indeed like an old time buggy hahahaha

still needs additional tuning to get it up to 300, that is the goal anyway. only thing good for is highway passing. anything else is laborious. it doesn't even have lsd, not enough space.. inline-5's mounted transversely. torque steer is ridiculous. understeer is ever present. but it's fun as heck to have a fast (well, a decade ago it was anyway) wagon

850R's were great cars.....big power to the front wheels of course, but I don't recall it being a nuisance. There was certainly a tendency to understeer on my old T5, not sure about the uprated "R"s though

it is a nuisance on less than perfect roads... which is abundant in san francisco. either that, or the inside tire spins uselessly.

Wonder what it would be like it mercedes took Brabus over amg at 1999.

LOL that might be an awesome combination ahhaa.

All the top of the line would be those crazy EV12 SV12 clsv12 stuff with 700+hp

Might be nice. Since brabus is 1 of the oldest company that has been tuning benz too.

if brabus were the internal "tuner" then AMG would be the company turning out the 700+ hp V12s and Brabus would be making about the same thing that AMG is now...
