Anyone know where to locate the carbon canister shutoff valve on C43? Thanks for your help.

located on the canister itself in most applications..Are you replacing the canister or testing the circuit?Have you been topping off your tank?![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
Clear the code with your scanner and see if it comes back. Those evap system codes can pop up false in the c43 ,so before jumping in see if it returns.

I've already reset the Check Engine Light twice and it just keeps coming back. So I would like to locate it first. Is it in the engine compartment or somewhere next to the gas tank?

by the tank.Diagnostic tree should be on alldatadiy.com
have you cleaned the purge valve?Diy on benzworld.org w210 diy section.
new Vent Control Circuit valve if failed is about 120bucks at autohausaz.com.Inspect all lines and fittings and give it a tap with the handle of a screw driver to free it up before you declare it dead.Similar to the w210 layout this is what you are looking at

When you had this P0446 code, did your rpm drop off when you came to a complete stop and cause the car to shudder for a few seconds? I have the same code on W202 C230 and one time the engine actually died. Is this actually related to the vent failure or do I have two problems at the same time???
