Gone but not forgotten C36
FS - C36 parts

I have really enjoyed being in this forum and I'll continue to be here. Thanks for all the good help and advices..

I really loved my C36...I mean I really really loved it!... It ran very well, no major problems, never been to the shop for repairs, just recharged the freon...I even bought the special oil extractor from ebay (the 6-quart canister-type) and did my oil change once since I didn't drive it much...I loved the body lines, I loved the buff-looking rear bumper...I loved the side skirt and the front bumper...I loved the leather seats, I loved the burlwood all over the car...the torque was awesome, I loved th sound of the exhaust...I'm really really gonna miss it... (man, I would love to get another one)

Well...sorry to say, about 3 weeks ago, my C36 was totalled when the car in front of me put his car in reverse and backed into my car at a red light while I was heading to work. Basically his rear bumper just rode on top of mine and rammed into my front grill, hood, and passenger headlight. Luckily I was not hurt (startled but luckily not hurt) still able to drive it home, which was just a few miles away.

Since most of the parts will apply to you guys here, I thought I'd start here (if that's ok with the mods)

Here are some of the things that I can recall having (I bought the cup holder, all the other parts were from the previous owner) I still gotta do some research on the prices...

1. Set of 4 OEM AMG wheels (great condition) with tires from 95 C36. Only a minor scratch on one of the rims. You'll see the penny's head on the tires, one front driver's side tire is very new (I think it's 'wheel 2'), I just got it a few months ago.

OEM corners (1/2 clear 1/2 amber)

Euro corners (all amber)

Taiwan corners (all clear)

1. 3 sets of front corners (used)
1 set is the OEM 1/2 clear and 1/2 reflector
1 set is the Euro all amber color
1 set is the all clear
2. 1 set of side markers (used)
3. 1 set of OEM floor mats (used)
4. 1 set of OEM gas and brake pedals (used)
5. 1 set of OEM rear brake lights (used)
6. 1 front OEM grill (used)
7. 1 cup holder (used)
8. 1 OEM C36 steering wheel WITHOUT the airbag (used)
9. 1 OE owner's manual (with other stuff) and pouch
10. 1 speaker grill (new, I'll check which side if someone's interested)
11. 1 set of AMG OEM 17" C36 rims with tires
Rear rims: 8.5Jx17H2 ET 30
Front rims: 7.5Jx17H2 ET 35

and more, but I'll update this list...

p.s...how do you remove the shift knob? I loosened the part right under the knob, but I didn't want to risk twisting the knob too much counter-clockwise to break it...I have the whole burlwood one in there and I'd love to keep it just for memory thanks!

Are they 18's or 17's? What are the offset (Front?) (rear?)

What's the asking price for these wheels? Pls. PM me if you're not comfortable
posting the price here.

Are you looking for another C36 ?

Mine's for sale. Very clean, runs extremely well. Blk/.blk 96.

Let me know.

Also, I'm very interested in the steering wheel as the one in mine is nasty. If you're not looking to buy another C36, I can send a payment for your steering wheel immediately.

Thanks.

I'm off to take some pics, I'll be right back!

Thanks again to everyone for your patience and support!

oh, I'm gonna try to answer a few question...

1. the wheels are OEM 17" C36 wheels all around...225's in the front and 245's for the rear

****the wheels are going to be at my friends house...oh...I apologize for not mentioning...I'm looking for a LOCAL buyer for the wheels at this time, again I apologize for not mentioning earlier

2. the front clear corners are the VERY CLEAR (not the opaque/white-ish ones that most people have here, these are on the car and might have been damaged so I don't really want to sell them since I'm not sure if they're still good)

3. i'll go take pics of all the parts, I might bring some back home,
thanks again for you patience

add: man, I typed up a whole page of info, addressing everyone and their questions and I lost it...oh well...I'll try to get back to everyone after I get the pics

if my memory serves me, i believe you just loosen the collar (like you did) and then pull it straight off without twisting it.
