Help! Power seats dont work???

Help! Power seats dont work???
my power seats dont work at all neither do the orthopidic..... i check the connections and everything seemed fine i also checked the fuses and everything was good. is there anything i should look for? has this happend to anybody else???

try to check the motors, use 12v connections to check it. if the motors didnt work it means the motors is bad.
i've seen that happen to my bimmer friends ALOT
and always one of the motors was the bad

The same for me, sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. I've checked EVERYTHING possible, please helppppppFuses, motors, connectors...everything is working , but both seats stopping and starting working on their own time

In you trunk under the black plastic cover at the very front is your "convenience relay" It is black and has something like 6 or 8 pins. This is your most likely suspect if both seats are intermittent or inop at the same time.

i changed the relay and seats still dont work. anybody know anything else i should check for???

Both the ortho and the power seats...... I just started up the car and the power seats worked again untill I tryed to use the orth and than the power seats stoped to

I had intermittent seat function on my C36, but still had the forward/back. Turns out that the seat adjustment switches had dirty contacts. If you're careful you can slide them out of the door (on the C36 at least), open up the back, and carefully clean the contacts with emory cloth. Now mine work fine and it saved me $50/switch.
