95 to 96 C36 AMG brakes switch

hello

I just bought a 96 c36 amg, i noticed the brake calipers
DO NOT SAY AMG , what the heck,
I have a 95 that was hit, those brake calipers say AMG and i painted them very nice and look the biz, my question is ,
Can i just switch the calipers from my 95 into the 96, do i need any differnt rotors or what. seems like a simple unbolt and bleed,
thanks for your help

As far as I know, 95 was the only year to the use 500E/SL600? brakes, and then in 96-97 they used the standard C280 ones.

For you guys complaining about your brakes being the same as the standard C, they are considerably cheaper to replace...

If you're still looking for a BBK, consider the CLK550/C32/C55 (all the same) brakes I have on my car. 13.6" Brembo four pistons up front and two pot vented rotors in the rear.

Your wrong about the 96 C36 brakes same as the C280. C36 rotors are bigger then the C280.

95 were AMG brakes so they costed a lot to get the pads
in 96 and 97 they were the sl600 brakes
a lot better than standard c280 brakes

The front OEM pads for my 95 C36 is under $90. After market is even cheaper. But the rotors are expensive which last along time. But cheaper then my Clk55 rotors($240 a piece)!
