....I am looking to add 100 hp, it sounds like the 5.5 transplant only gets me 50 hp extra?

If they can't give me a reasonable deal on the sc & install I'll just pass and maybe get an S55, although I will say the older my C43 has gotten the more I like it. It looks and rides like it did when it was new and interior is perfect (solid seats, nothing loose). Having said that I have been a fanatic about maintenance.
I was looking at a couple of '93 500E's/E500's thinking maybe I should get one of those due to uniqueness etc., but the performance is similar to my C43 and I basically would have pay 20K or above (assuming decent condition & mileage) for a 16 year old car. Doesn't seem to make sense.

i only want more because i can get it for reasonable $$$$. adding more power to the sc equipped car is infinitely cheaper than the 55... plus whens last time u raced an scd one and then didnt want more?

A 55k will not run mid to low 11's without one spending ton's of $$ nor will it hit 130mph running 11's as easy as my Talon as well.
