Look, I drive an E430. That right there kills my chances of being 'performance saavy'.

Wow, I went pale white when I read that first comment Rick. Haha though.

Our final numbers ended up with 256 RWHP, but we are having some tuning issues. So I expect a little more out of it.

We did note that removing the MAF screen is good for 8 RWHP. I pulled it on and off about 4 times yesteray just to make sure it wasn't affecting the AFR. The AFR stayed at a steady 13.5 for the entire time, with ot without the MAF.

Sorry for the stress Ant.

8hp for removing the screen is notable, IMO. That is crazy!

I'm pretty sure most have lost performance when removing that....not doubting for one second, just wondering what the others were doing? In fact I think even Vadim from VRP(I know he's not god but he is good) said it wouldn't help. Hats off to free power in your case!!

Hell, i could go remove mine right now.

Nice work

Still would love to know more details about the injector upgrade

I just purchased a used, like-new C43 with 57K miles to replace my 1997 C36 and I am really interested in improving the low-end torque between idle and 2500 revs as it is a bit flat compared to that of my C36. Above, the C43 is obviously faster. Please keep us posted!

Might have a bad MAF sensor. As mine was going bad, it felt stronger at partial throttle than it did at full throttle.

c36 doesnt have better lower end torque

I let my friend drive my c43(he owns a c36) and he says my car has a lot more low end torque and is overall smoother in acceleration

congratz on the new car btw, what color??

on the NA 55 motors, removing the screens is NOT a good idea. Yes you may get a big more power at WOT, but at partial throttle & daily driving & idle... its horrible, motor shakes around, very erratic acceleration, poor transmission shifts, and overall bad behavior.

Leave the screens in and look to other areas for more power.

I have no such problems with mines(no screens). However my whole intake setup is different than stck as well.

This looked like a great project. I wonder what dyno numbers they came up with.

My car...Anthony (TVT) has all the dyno numbers. The car runs leaps and bounds better than when it was stock. The manifold work really made a huge difference.

Can we get the dyno numbers as well as a list of all mods done. Do you have 1/4 mile times?

See post #103...never done a 1/4 mile times. As far as all the mods, you're going to have to read the whole thread.
