I drove this car...they're so fun and torquey. Recently traded in I think 2 owners locally. from Greenwich, CT. Solid. Excellent interior. I can't see any paintwork but I'm not an expert. VMI records I'm told. 18" wheels are from an E55 it seems , the rims have some minor edge rash, , sure neeeds to be lowered, full size CLK 5 spoke spare (is this correct?). I tell ya', if I didn't just buy a 911 cab I'd get this one... lol. j/k
1 of 4 in this color black, only 25 in the USA and 100 in the world? Are my sources correct? Gosh, makes this a pretty rare and special car only to appreciate in value and in stature(I would think) It sure moves out fast and is still way tight. If I can be of anymore help LMK; we live 7 miles from their shop. Talk to Brian if you can, or Kevin. But Brian knows all about this car.

I couldn't get a direct link to work btw, so just search under MBs and its there

sounds like airplane
absolutely 18"- ride is a bit harsh stock (for some) but is no worse at all with 18s.
also, maybe not good for ultimate performance- but my eibach springs did nothing to hurt it either.
if you do nothing else I would get the springs and 18s on the car.

I own a silver 2000 and wrote MBUSA regarding the production numbers. They reported back to me that there were 90 2000 AMG C43's produced.
They did not tell me how many were shipped to North America, but I have read the rumor that there were 24 and that two were totaled as well.

2000 C43 FS??
I'm considering selling my 2000. It has 87k and is in great, though not pristine shape. Always maintained at the local dealer and always garaged. Anyone have any idea what a 2000 is worth?

Anthony...you should come up and buy this car. Good talking with you btw. I am just passing the info on guys...sorry if I confused anyone. I 'wish' I could buy it, prolly might have if it came a month earlier than this 996.
This and the C43s are such nice cars. Honestly, I looked at a few in 1999 before getting the 500E (which was cheaper at the time). I dig them. This one is all there. Yes, the 18" rims are a bit harsh and feel too tall on the car, especially for CT. Sell 'em. It def. needs to be lowered (I think most all cars need to be lower anyway) Clean CARFAX and VMI history is available. It just needs an enthusiast owner and a garage now.
Thanx for the info/link svt ricco. There it is...1 of 4. Cool.
OSUChe... your car , if any of these AMGs are, is a keeper. 1 of a single digit bunch of anything is a keeper.
