Sorry about the lack of updates but here is one ![mercy](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/mecry.gif)
![](http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo270/money-one/bc52de04.jpg)
The begining of this year I was finalizing the swap. Squaring off the fueling and the trans issue when this happened.
I was driving home one saturday from work and I had a combo death strike on me.
First, unknown to me the balancer was working itself off the crank by vibrating the bolt loose.
(this has become well documented in the w211 55k section for being unbalanced when upsizing pulley)
Figured mine was good for the amount of miles I put on it and the road trips. Secondly the Trans. finally went.
It was very violent and then ended up going into 3rd and wouldnt come out. In the middle of the violent
upshifting the Balancer Key sheared off and the pulley galled the crankshaft snout.
It took me about 2 months to finally pull the engine and repair/painted
![](http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo270/money-one/8b5059ab.jpg)
![](http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo270/money-one/49959304.jpg)
During that 2 month down time I decided to throw in the towl on this swap and decided on a second option.
After discussing this with my tunner we will be dropping in a 2jz engine matted up to a V160 getrag. That is his drag car
![](http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo270/money-one/6.jpg)
Everything is under way.
I'm on Supraforums now.

Aftermarket support is much better for the Japanese motors, and it'll likely be easier and cheaper to get more power out of the 2JZ as opposed to the M113K. There are a considerable number of off the shelf solutions, whether they be intake manifolds to engine management. It's been done before - there's a guy with a W210 with a 2JZ swap on one of the other forums.

Am I understanding this correctly, you're planning on swapping a Supra motor in your C43?? Why choose that over a Blown 55 (i.e N/A M113 with Kleemann blower)? Wouldn't it be cheaper and MUCH less of a headache? I know blackbenz had 600+ HP and 700+ ft/lbs in his blown M113 before it blew up, are you aiming for more power than that?
The engine has been ready to reinstall for at least a month, along with the rebuilt trans.
Horsepower is also a point I had to debate with my tunner. He harped on about useable street power and 600-700 HP is where he wanted me at.
I on the other hand will NOT settle for less than 1000HP. The money I will be comitting to this can not be justified with a mere 600hp.
Stock is not my thing and has no place in the cars I play in.

You are correct on that point. It would be cheaper to put the 55k back in the car then drop maybe another 3K into her and she would be respectably done.

Parts are cheaper and gains are bigger. All the internals have been ordered and the engine is being stripped for the machine shop.
Their are people at have advised me on getting another car for this but that AMG will be getting a 2JZ

He is on supraforums. I kept looking at his thread and was saying to myself why not.

I imagine that a marriage between German and Japanese technology should give an interesting "offspring", but where has the AMG spirit gone
I'm somewhat sad of all this.

Look at the size of this turbo
![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
The post says they have to use a 200 Shot Direct Port Nitrous Oxide to spool the turbine. It must take days to spool that monster up

nd4spd13..... consider yourself updated![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
503C43 ////AMG.... Yes its the same guy.
also the 1JZ is known for not producing any real good numbers. That is the reason most don't turn to this option.
DRBC43AMG..... This was not an easy decision and I felt if I went big it would make me feel better about changing power plants.
Just so you know I was also entertaining the idea of an LSx engine with a T56, but
the power output would of been in the same ball park as the Mercedes V8 so i scratched that idea.
I have always been a fan of the Toyota Supra but could not bring myself to getting one and then be pestered by every Civic, Integra, Evo and Sti that I drove by.
And be worried about the car anywhere I parked it.
This to me is a good trade off.

Money one - so after reading the whole thread twice, will the stock c43 ecu work if all I want is just maybe 55k with light bolt ons? Will this run smooth like stock? Not interested in crazy power as I think this 11 sec setup would be more than enough for me. If not the c43 ecu any other way to plug and play? I think staying away from standalone would be a lot easier.
Thanks

I believe he stated he used the stock C43 ECU with a MAF clamp.
This changes everything for C43 engine swappers around the world...
But would it be cheaper/easier to just go with the normal 5.4 swap and find a kleemann m113 sc?
