w202 spring pads (shims)

What is the stock spring pad the C43 comes with? and those that changed the pad, what did you change it to? and was that with lowering springs also or just stock springs? (LIST mm and not just # of pad if you know it, i.e. 8mm pad )

I cannot say for sure, but I was told that AMG puts a #1 8mm and #2 12mm? pad on the C43's. My set up is with those pads and stock springs.

DLS~ I should be getting the C43 this Friday or Saturday, at which then I'll take many pict and post them. I've already bought many parts for the car without even having it in my hands.

What you were told is incorrect. Or it may be correct, but then some spring shim gnomes come and change the shims before delivery.

Actually, the shims vary with the car... options, manufacturing tolerances, etc. (Mine came with #2/#2, which I have changed... it doesn't really matter what I've changed it to, because it won't apply to anyone else's car except mine!)

Moe:

I have the H&R Sport spring set, with a #1 and #2 spring pad on my car.

I just saw what I wrote. I meant to say stock shock absorbers.

I wanna check my spring pads again. Scorchie got me all paranoid! LOL

Dont go by what I have, because my car seems pretty low in the front but not so low in the rear. I believe I have stock springs but I am pretty sure they are just cut because it rides pretty harsh. My pads are #2 in the front and #3 in the rear. I am planning on going with H&R sportsprings and leaving the pads. I don not advise you to cut springs, my were cut like this when I bought the car. Good luck.
