thanks. at least i know what kind of rotors i can use to replace mine.
i ran into the same problem at the dealer in sf. none of the numbers u listed for a c36 regardless of year correspond to what i have. i assume you have access to the mb database or ease of access?
too bad i didn't take the numbers off the calipers to find out where it came from. can you find out what e-class models (maybe the 1997 e420 again?) used the numbers 2104210712? seems like i'm always off by one number from the database.
actually, the bigger question is do those "later c36" calipers match mine/look like mine?

Yikes! These cars do seem to hold some interesting secrets. I have not seen those calipers on a C36 before. That certianly would make getting replacement parts difficult at best. I just ordered a set of rotors for my C36 and now I am a bit nervious that I will get the wrong parts. ah the joys of a limited production car.

1995 C 36 AMG; 1992 W124 300E (M103 Ex Mosselman TT KIT) was 320hp @10psi now stock :(
Part number 2104210712 appears to have been superseded by part number 2034210312. 2034210312 is a rotor for a C230 (2002-2005), C240 (2001), and C320 (2001). They list for $63.
For discs, I show an early C36 as using a WA2024210112 on the left and a WA2024210212 on the right. They list for $190 each. I show the later C36 as using a 2104211712 (either side). Those list for $104 each. The early C36 calipers appear as WA2024210198 on the left and WA2024210298 on the right. $1100 each. Later C36 calipers appear as 0014203383 for the left and 0014203483 for the right. Those later calipers list for $950, and also fit a 1997 E420.
0044200220 pads appear as SLK230 (1998-2004) parts. Mercedes-Benz of Annapolis supplied the prices and applications. There may be other applications for those parts.

Ill try and take off the rim today and check the P/n of my disks and the AMG calipers i have on my 95 C36.

So i would assume the pic showing the silver AMG Caliper is expected to have a p/n WA2024210198 or WA2024210298 and will need the disks of P/n WA2024210112 / WA2024210212 ??

Well I just recieved my rotors and I hope they are the right ones. I'm going to install the new rotors and pads on the C36. The new rotors were void of any part numbers so we'll have to see if the ones I'm removing have any. I'll post any info I get....which I'm sure will throw more confusion into the mix at this point.

interesting...
my front says 22.0 mm min thickness.
also, didn't take off the rear wheels, but that list u made would indicate the later C36 models received non-ventilated/solid rotors compared to ventilated ones on earlier C36.

Alright, I finally found the time to take off the front wheel to see what I have in terms of rotors. First of all attached is a picture of the setup.
Part Number 210 421 17 12 with a minimum thickness of 25.4mm
Diameter of the rotor is 12.4 inches

I really should redo that page. I laid it out eactly as it's displayed in the WIS, and that is not the most readable format.

Anyone with a late C36 (September 1995 and later build date) have ventilated rear rotors? Anyone with an early C36 have solid rears?
Through this discussion and from what I have seen looking for C36 parts it seems that the "95" calipers are four pot and have the AMG logo engraved/cast into the caliper. The 96/97 calipers are also the four pot variety but are void of the AMG logo. Then comes the floating single piston which is the head scratcher.

LMAO, Stupidiest post ever!
Excuse me, but what was the purpose of that post anyways?? What does a "C180" have to do with the 202 AMG's??
What makes YOUR C43 the best?? Let alone the "C43" in general over any other AMG...??
You want AMG rotors?? Go to your local dealership. Simple. Your C43 is not the only "special" C43 with AMG Rotors you know?? LOL.
Every AMG is special in their own way, Hence why they are AMG's! So keep the to a minimum bro,,, I know its hard...

while i appreciate u posting info regarding c43 brakes, they seem to be the same across all c43 regardless of year or time built; single sliding on 13+ rotors. how can 30k original miles on factory rotors since 1996 be fake? we're just trying to figure out why there are so many differences for c36. don't be douche

lol?
how many threads you see on '' where can I buy cheap rotors '', cause they go at dealer and start to cry when they see the real price.
true i'm off topic, but who cares,
how is my post stupid? don't be rude.
I know you love me

Hey Marcus, can you look up something on the WIS? Last night I tried to install 96-97 C36 front calipers and rotors on my 94 C280 and they did not fit. Can you see if a 96 C36 and a 94 C280 share the same steering knuckle? Or if they share the same hub? One of the two parts is different and is causing the clearence problems. Thanks.
Too bad Wilwood doesn't make those late hubs . . . . . . . .

Thanks Marcus. I suspected as much and was really hoping that the difference was in the hubs and not the knuckle. At this point I am in too far to not see this through and will be getting some late hubs.
