I have a 99 C43 and i noticed that their is a bulb right underneath the Xenon bulb in the headlight housing. I thought they were daytime running lights or something. Its on both sides and it looks like its factory installed. The problem is though is that they do not work. Are these lights standard on the C43, or is it possible they are after market? Has anyone else had this same problem?

are you sure they're not the high beams?

perhaps it's the city light feature which I thought were not available in the US.

yes...im in the US. Both bulbs are are brand new and are plugged in...but nothing happens when the lights are turned on.

Oh..and its not the high beams...they work perfectly

I think they works with your fog laps on. check if you turn on the bumper fogs and they turn on too. & change low beam/hi beam with the fog lights on to see if any happen

nope!!! they're not after market i had the same thing on my 98 C43, they only work on the regular C-class, those cars who doesnt have a foglights on the bumper..so dont worry about it, i tried to tap the wires from that bottom bulb to my headlights, it will work, but if u have a XENON or HID it will not look good..so just leave it alone..thats just my suggestion..

nope!!! they're not after market, thats a foglights for the regular C-class, those cars who doesnt have a foglights on the bumper, i tried tapping those wires on the actual headlights, it doesnt look good or right especially if u have HID or XENON..so thats normal..i would just leave it alone thats my suggestion..good luck

I also have those but mines did not have bulbs... what kind of bulbs are those anyways?
