C36 engine transplant into W124 wagon

After the minor fender-bender, the 1988 360TE AMG wagon is back with a face-lift.

1994-1995 W124 hood, black cladding, & grill (600SEL grill in the wings)
1995 W124 diesel right fender
W124 AMG fender spacer kit (ready for 17x8.25 wheels) and rolling of fenders and widening lip per AMG instructions from GSXR.
Re-sprayed front Brabus bumper
1994 E500 headlights
1994 E500 fender liners to reduce lift and accommdate the AMG fender spacers.

Also, the install of the electric-fan saved the engine since the bumper of a 4x4 didn't meet my bumper.
If the viscous fan was still installed, most likely serious damage to the C36 engine would have occurred.

Here's how she looked previously, and the "piece d'resistance" is the C36 engine, tranny, and limited-slip diff.

3-month project, using a 1995 C36 engine, tranny, diff, and computers.

For some reason, this C36 engine and other 1995's I've seen for sale, don't have the "3.6" stamped on the air-intake cross-tube, and use a different valve-cover.

Love your car, man. That thing is too cool! By the way, where in CA are you? San Bernardino or Santa Barbara?

All C36's, even the 1994 models, had the 3.6 stamping on the TB tubing and the valve cover with the AMG logo on it.

+1 +1 +1

and I'm wondering where on earth did he get a limited slip diff from?

Regardless the car still looks very nice and clean.

3.07 LSD from a Euro 190E 16v . . .

Unfortunately, it's the "smaller" 1-liter case.

I'm building a 3.06 LSD in the R129 case . . .

Hmm, the 16valve diff fits the W124? Did you use the stock axels?

All you have to do is swap diff covers.

I could have used the stock 300TE half-axles, but instead I am using W124 500E half-axles.
