Yep, my passenger side tow hook cover is gone as well. When I got the qoute I started laughing then about two seconds later I realized that they were being serious, I stopped laughing.

Thinking about making molds of these friggen things, everyone and thier mother looses at least one of them before learning the painful truth. If I ever replace mine they will be wired in, with a riveted cable catch....just in case!

Wow that is an awesome price Jay, see if your guy is still making them, if so I'm interested. I'll even give you a brokerage/middleman fee .

Appatula, i can have one made for u, note that its not a perfect fit so to make it look good the guy tapes around its place in the bumper fits the cover and then uses body filler to match it. can u do that if i make u one?

dont want any extra money dude, glad to help. ill take a pic tomorrow to show u how it is.

So these covers are not teathered at all? I guess I have to add this to the "to do" list.

I've got a can of bondo and bondo-glass in the garage right now so "fitting" it wont be an issue. Does he charge less if the custom body filler step is avoided or is the $50USD for the blank and then he charges extra for the "fitting"? A picture would be great if you can get around to it, this seems very promising, I'm excited! Thanks Jay your an honest guy!

Well, not exactly. However, the teather that is on them almost seems as if it was designed (very well) to disintegrate, dissapear, magically break, or all of the above thus causing you to lose a 80 cent part which in turn you will pay $250.00 for. Seems profit driven to me! Anyhow, be afraid....teather that sucker on yourself, you don't get second chances with tow hook covers.

Another important thing to add is that the jack hole covers on the side skirts could also be subject to this, although much less likley. I'm curious as to what they charge for these little shaped rectangles but I'm sure it won't fail to make my wallet run for cover. Teather these on as well while your at it...JUST IN CASE!
