Its interesting he said V6... and it looks like he is infact right... but what V6 did they have in 93-94? the block looks incredibly short and angled so it appears it is infact a V6 and not the M104 I-6. Very interesting

There's one of the DTM engines yanked from the bay. As mentioned, 2.5L V6, revs to 12k, 500ish hp

Plenty of action there

Here's some more information about the cars if you guys want it.
Mercedes replaced the 190E DTM car at the start of the 1994 season when the DTM rules changed. Through the late 80s and early 90s the race formula called for a 4 cylinder NA engine-we got it in our road cars as the 2.3-16 and 2.5-16. In 1994 the racing formula was switched to a 2.5L V6 (which is why the C36's I6 was pulled out-it was too big).
The '94 season cars were some of the most advanced cars ever raced incorporating technology that Formula 1 had banned. ABS, traction control, and constantly adjusting roll bars that changed the suspension at every corner were part of the DTM car equipment. Ellen Lohr's car was even equipped with an air bag.
Tiff talks about the plusses and minuses of the new technology in the video. The ABS in particular was a source of controversy.
Obviously the cars weigh next to nothing since everything has been stripped out of the interior and the whole front of the car is basically carbon fiber. That light weight coupled with the advanced suspension, sequential gearbox, and screamer of an engine meant that these puppies could haul some ***.
The 1994 season saw a large mix of cars racing alongside the C Class DTM. BMW, Alfa Romeo, Opel, and Ford all fielded race cars that season. The Mercedes Junior DTM team was still racing the 190E as were a few privateer teams. However by 1995 only three manufacturers were racing-Mercedes, Alfa, and Opel. I initially thought that only Mercedes raced the W202, however Zakspeed raced 4 of the cars and Persson Motorsport raced 2. Mercedes had 4 cars so we're looking at 10 W202 DTM cars plus any replacements.
However, DTM shut down after the 1996 season taking the C class DTM car with it. Given the short run of the W202 DTM and the fact that relatively few of them were raced they've got to be nearly impossible to find and I had a hard time digging up information.
Here's the team photo for the year:

Here's another shot of the engine:

And here's a link to a company restoring Ellen Lohr's DTM racer.

She was one of the first female drivers to become successful in the DTM driving both a 190E 2.5-16 EVOII and the later C Class DTM.
Hope that shed some more light on these fantastic cars!
