Odd question...

Does anyone know the ID of the front and rear springs at the perches?

C43
Does anyone have a set of springs off the car that could take some measurements of the ID of the top and bottom of the springs where the springs sits on the perch at the front and rear of the car?

Thanks

Looks like you posted in the wrong forum page. Here is the page for the W202 C43, the one with a real V8 engine

The springs sit on a rubber pad which are available in different thicknesses. These differ in size depending on the options installed at the factory. You can play around with them to change the stance of the vehicle. However, depending on the origin of the C43 the spring sizes are different between the N. American market and ROW. The ROW's are a bit shorter compared to the N. American ones, That is the reason they sit higher a bit like a truck.

You mention "...the ID of the top and bottom...". Are you talking of the pads or the shape of the spring. Not sure I or we understand your question

🤣😂 Here we go...I've learned the inside joke now when it comes to the C43 (?AMG?).
I had 2 w202s including a 99 C43...loved everything about that car except the brakes.

I agree, the brakes are not on par with the performance. I cooked my brakes several times when driving down mountain passes, despite high temperature brake fluid and high temp brake pads. The only way around that is to install bigger discs and 4 or 6 piston calipers

I decided to show off & do one little burnout & it almost cost me my life. Right after I ended up goin down a steep *** street n my brake pedal felt like a brick....I was serving running red lights in pouring rain avoiding cars when finally I was able to stop using the e brake...scary. One guy I almost hit was so mad he followed me and it ended up being a guy I went to high school with.
